Saturday, October 2nd at noon
The Siren Duo, a viola-clarinet duo, from the University of Iowa’s String Residency Program will be performing outside the library for a special lunchtime event!
Arianna Edvenson (clarinet) and Dominique Archambeau (viola) are currently doctoral performance and pedagogy students at UI. Inspired by the idea of the captivating sounds of the mythical siren songs, they strive to bewitch their audiences with their performances as the sirens were said to do to the sailors passing them by.
The noon performance will provide perfect ambiance for a picnic lunch — bring your own sack lunch and the library will have dessert and refreshments! There are some picnic tables available in the library’s outdoor space, or you can bring your own blanket to spread out.
